On-Site versus Off-Site Virtualization

Virtualization technology offers many choices regarding where you manage and maintain the virtualized environment. You might have everything on your premises or you might choose to install them in a different location, off-site.

In an on-site configuration, you own and manage the infrastructure within your premises. You are responsible for building and maintaining it, and if there are any issues associated with the hosting aspect, you are responsible for solving them. There are a number of advantages to hosting the virtualized environment on-site:
