Interface Bonding

Interface bonding is a generic term for the following:

  • Link aggregation
  • Link teaming
  • NIC teaming
  • Port channeling
  • EtherChannels

The idea behind this technique is taking multiple interfaces and bundling them to increase the amount of throughput between two devices and add some redundancy.
