Purpose
Learn some basic steps to take to lock down your router.

Walkthrough

  1. Log in using Protect Enable mode with an enable secret password. Test this by logging out of Privileged mode and then logging back in.

Router#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

Router(config)#enable secret cisco

Router(config)#exit

Router#
