Dynamic Neighbour Discovery
Dynamic neighbour discovery is performed by sending EIGRP Hello packets to the destination Multicast group address 126.96.36.199. This is performed as soon as the network command is issued when configuring EIGRP on the router. In addition, as stated earlier, EIGRP packets are sent directly over IP using protocol number 88.
