IPv6 – Enabling IPv6 in Cisco IOS Software

Now that we have a solid understanding of IPv6 fundamentals, the remainder of the chapter will focus on the configuration of IPv6 in Cisco IOS software. By default, IPv6 routing functionality is disabled in Cisco IOS software. Therefore, IPv6 routing functionality must be manually enabled using the ipv6 unicast-routing global configuration command.
